        The film is inspired by a real-life incident involving a fisherman from Srikakulam who was captured by Pakistani forces in 2018.

Plot Summary


    Arjun, a humble fisherman from Srikakulam, shares a deep love with Sathya, a courageous young woman. Their peaceful life takes a drastic turn when Arjun and his fellow fishermen accidentally cross into Pakistani waters and are captured by the authorities.

   While Arjun and his friends struggle to survive in captivity, Sahitya fights tirelessly to bring them home. Facing legal, political, and emotional challenges, she refuses to give up on her love. Meanwhile, Arjun’s resilience is tested as he holds on to hope despite the harsh conditions.

   Through perseverance, love, and sacrifice, Sahitya’s efforts finally bear fruit, leading to a powerful reunion. "Thandel" is a touching tale of love, separation, and the strength to fight against all odds.
